LePage says he is a 'distraction,' will 'no longer attend' some events

AUGUSTA, Maine —Gov. Paul LePage said he will no longer attend some public events after students protested him at the University of Maine in Farmington.

Tuesday, LePage was to speak at a dedication ceremony honoring former university president Theodora Kalikow. Two protesters held signs in the audience.
LePage abruptly left the stage saying, “Thank you, you idiots – out back there with the signs.”
