The move came shortly after House Speaker Paul Ryan visited Donald Trump at the White House to tell him that they did to have the votes to pass the American Health Care Act.
Robert Costa, a reporter for the Washington Post, was on the phone with the president shortly after the decision to pull the health care bill was made.
“We just pulled it,” Costa said Trump told him. “I don’t blame Paul [Ryan].”
