The Lawyer Bringing The Lawsuit Against The DNC Speaks Out

In this latest episode of Redacted Tonight VIP, Lee Camp talks to Jared Beck, the attorney leading the lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee, and its former leader Debbie Wasserman Schultz, for rigging the 2016 Democratic Primary for Hillary Clinton. Beck goes into detail with Lee about how Bernie Sanders and his supporters got screwed by an organization that, according to court hearings, felt no obligation to be transparent or impartial during the election process. While one would think such a blatant disrespect for the democratic process would get more play in the mainstream media, it's falling on deaf ears. In the second half, Lee Camp gets into the importance of the release of prisoner Chelsea Manning, who was originally sentenced to 35 years for revealing classified information about inhumane behavior in the U.S. military, including the slaughter of innocent civilians. Manning isn't the only one who suffered the worst for revealing the ugly truth about our country. Breaking: DNC Chief Donna Brazile Leaked Sanders Info to Clinton Campaign

On October 10, Wikileaks released part two of their emails from Clinton campaign chair John Podesta.

Friday, Wikileaks released their first batch of Podesta’s emails, which included excerpts from Clinton’s Wall Street transcripts that reaffirmed why Clinton refused to release them in full. During the second presidential debate, Clinton confirmed their authenticity by attempting to defend one statement she made in the speech about having a public and private stance on political issues. She cited Abraham Lincoln, a defense comparable to her ridiculous invocation of 9/11 when pressed on her ties to Wall Street during a Democratic primary debate.

DNC Files Scathing Rebuttal, Wants Fraud Lawsuit Filed by Bernie Backers Thrown Out

Attorneys working for the Democratic National Committee are hoping a federal judge will throw out a lawsuit filed by a bunch of Bernie Sanders supporters who believe they got duped by the DNC.

‘The DNC was biased in favor of one candidate – Hillary Clinton – from the beginning and throughout the process,” the plaintiffs wrote in their original lawsuit. The complaint, which was filed in federal court in Florida, alleges fraud, as well as negligence as it relates to a Russian Hack on the DNC server.  The Bernie backers contend that the trove of DNC emails posted by Wikileaks further proves that the Democratic Party was working against Bernie Sanders from the start.

However, in a motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed this week, attorneys with the DNC fired back. They believe that the lawsuit is completely without merit, and that the Bernie supporters are using “litigation as a political weapon against a national party (and to support their SuperPAC) in the middle of an election.” They also don’t believe the Bernie backers have standing to even bring the lawsuit.

Rasmussen: Dems want Sanders running if Clinton drops out

If Hillary Clinton were forced to leave the presidential race due to health reasons, Democrats would want Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) to replace her as the party’s nominee, a new Rasmussen poll finds.

 

Forty-eight percent of likely Democratic voters backed Sanders in that scenario, according to the poll released Friday.

Twenty-two percent picked Vice President Biden, with 14 percent saying Clinton’s running mate Tim Kaine, and 9 percent choosing someone else.

Soledad O’Brien Calls Out Media For ‘Normalizing White Supremacy’

Soledad O’Brien isn’t here for the media normalizing white supremacist ideas during this election, and she’s speaking out. 

O’Brien, best known for her “Black in America” series, was a guest on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” on Sunday. During a discussion about how the media has covered Trump vs. Hillary, she pointed out that one of her biggest issues with coverage of the race is how Trump’s white supremacist supporters have been given air time, which in effect legitamizes and normalizes their presence and opinions in political discourse. 

“I’ve seen, on-air, white supremacists being interviewed because they are Trump delegates,” O’Brien told host Brian Stetler. “And they do a five-minute segment, the first minute or so talking about what they believe as white supremacists. So you have normalized that.”

Staffers quit new Sanders group after campaign head joined

At least five people have left Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-Vt.) new political group after Sanders brought in his campaign manager to lead it, Politico reported Tuesday.

Weaver, who ran Sanders's presidential campaign that ended last month, was made president of the group Our Revolution, causing the exodus before the group officially launches.

Digital director Kenneth Pennington and four other team members departed over Weaver’s addition, Politico said.

“A majority of the staff quit as a result of Jeff joining,” one person told the news outlet, adding they had joined the group with a promise from Sanders that Weaver would not be involved.

“Over the last few days, almost the entire staff resigned from the organization because they would not work for Jeff Weaver or help to enact Jeff’s vision for the organization in any way,” one of the former staffers added Monday.
