Clinton emailed classified information after leaving State Dept.

Hillary Clinton continued sending classified information even after leaving the State Department, The Post has exclusively learned.
On May 28, 2013, months after stepping down as secretary of state, Clinton sent an email to a group of diplomats and top aides about the “123 Deal” with the United Arab Emirates.
But the email, which was obtained by the Republican National Committee through a Freedom of Information Act request, was heavily redacted upon its release by the State Department because it contains classified information.

Putin's warning to the world

The most important document in terms of US mission statement is NSC68. It's more significant than the Constitution. One cannot understand US foreign and domestic policy without it.

BUSTED: Mexican president told Trump they’re not paying for ‘border wall’

U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto shake hands at a press conference at the Los Pinos residence in Mexico City, Mexico, August 31, 2016. REUTERS/Henry RomeroMexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on Wednesday told Donald Trump that Mexico would not pay for the Republican presidential candidate’s proposed wall along the Mexico-U.S. border, contradicting Trump’s assertion they didn’t discuss payment.
“What the president said is that Mexico, as he has said on several occasions … will not pay for that wall,” presidential spokesman Eduardo Sanchez told Reuters by telephone.

Maine Dems call out Republicans for not taking action against Gov. LePage's threats

Dear Friend,

At a press conference last night, House Republican Leader Ken Fredette said that his caucus had no interest in taking action to hold Governor LePage accountable for his threat against a sitting lawmaker or for his racist and homophobic remarks.

We need your help. Below are phone numbers for every Republican in the Legislature. Please call every single one to tell them that Maine won't stand for inaction and that Governor LePage must resign. Please note these numbers are all listed on the Legislature's website, so we are not sharing contact information that is not already public.

Maine continues to make headlines in the national news. We have a historic opportunity to show the country that our state will loudly reject bigotry and hate. Please help us do that.

In solidarity,
Phil Bartlett, Chair
Maine Democratic Party

Republican House Members

NC pastor for Trump wants to end joblessness by ‘returning’ blacks to Africa to build roads

CNN's Carol Costello speaks to Angela Rye and Thomas Rodgers (screen grab)

A North Carolina pastor who has endorsed Donald Trump explained his job plan on Tuesday, which calls for the “return” of black Americans to Africa to build roads and bridges.
Apostle Thomas Rodgers, Sr. of Antioch Road to Glory International Ministries in North Carolina told CNN host Carol Costello that black Americans should receive “dual citizenship” so that they could find jobs in Africa.

States opposed to Obama more dependent on federal government

States that voted against President Obama twice are more dependent on the federal government, according to an analysis of new data released by the Pew Charitable Trusts on Monday.
All told, the average state that voted against Obama twice relied on federal funding for an average of 33.8 percent of its budget, the report found.
Among the 27 states that voted for Obama twice, federal grants made up 29.9 percent of the average state budget.
The report shows that seven years after the beginning of the economic recovery, states across the country are more reliant on federal dollars to cover their costs than before the recession.

Judge Curiel Rules Trump Must Face Trial for Racketeering in Trump University Suit

NEW YORK - JANUARY 10: Donald Trump talks to reporters during an in-store appearance to sign copies of "How To Build Wealth," which is a series of nine audio business courses created by Trump University, at a Barnes & Noble store January 10, 2005 in New York City. Federal District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel has ruled that Donald J. Trump, founder of Trump University, must face civil trial for fraud and racketeering under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”).  Trump had moved for summary judgment in a last-ditch effort to block a class-action trial scheduled to begin right after the national election.
Denying the motion, Judge Curiel ruled that there were genuine issues of material fact for trial as to whether Trump had personally committed fraud and racketeering.  If Trump loses, he is liable for three times the damages suffered by the students who paid tuition.  That is the bite of the RICO statute — triple damages.  This could amount to many tens of millions of dollars.
